John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool Reopens June 29th!
June 26, 2020 Update:
John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool will reopen on Monday, June 29th, for Lap Swim and Water Aerobics. As our staff learns and adjusts to our new “Safe Start” guidelines, we will open more activities.
Facility Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-7:30pm Saturday & Sunday 8:00am-1:30pm
Water Aerobics: Monday, Wednesay, Friday 11:00am-12:00pm
What to Expect: • All patrons must enter through the front doors and check in at the front desk. Patrons will exit the facility using the door closest to the hot tub through our patio and out toward the baseball fields. If you need a continuous hard surface a staff member will assist you in exiting the facility through a different door. • Masks are required while in the building, but not in the pool. • Registration for lane day and time may be made for the week we are in. Registration is also required for water aerobics. Please call 360-675-7665 to reserve a lane day and time. Reservations accepted up to five (5) days in advance. Staff will be available to take phone reservations Friday, June 26 - Sunday, June 28, 10:00am-2:00pm and during facility hours starting Monday, June 29. • Lanes will be assigned with a one (1) hour (60 minute) limit. The pool will close for 30 minutes between each time block to allow for sanitation. • No spectators allowed in the facility. Caregivers are allowed to aid swimmers if needed. • Patrons must be 13 years of age or older to register for a lap swim lane. • Lockers and locker room showers will not be available. Handi-capable restrooms in the lobby and deck restroom will be available for use. Patrons should arrive showered and ready to swim. Once patrons finish swimming they should exit the pool, put on their mask, towel off, put on shoes and exit the facility through the side door on deck. • Equipment will not be available. Guests will be allowed to bring their own.
Swim Lessons, Open Swim, Kids Pool and Water Volleyball are not currently open or available to patrons at this time. As soon as we are able to open and make these available, we will be let our patrons know. Thank you for your patience!

MWR provides reimbursement to North Whidbey Pool, Park, and Recreation District for active duty lap swim.
Valid military ID is REQUIRED at each visit.
